Simple ways to speed up your metabolism

Firstly, you have to understand that metabolism is about energy spending and energy building.


Speeding up your metabolism is indeed one effective way to maintain a healthy body and maintain your ideal weight. If you have been worrying about weight problems or obesity, most often, you can always find advices that involve speeding up your metabolism.

Indeed, increasing your metabolic rate, or the speed of using up the calories in your body and turning it into usable energy, is an effective way to get rid of those unwanted fats and extra calories, thus helping you stay in your ideal weight.


If you have more muscles than fat, you have more energy to spend and more energy to build. Thus, if you have more fat than muscles, you have less energy to spend and less energy to build.

2. Protein-rich foods burn up calories faster than non-protein foods. Choose skinless chicken meat or lean meat that has low-fat content. 3. Eating little and many times in a day results in faster metabolism than eating large meals two times a day. Metabolism works more times for more frequent food intakes. The secret, of course, is also to consume smaller quantities per meal.

4. Amazingly, either immersing yourself in cold or hot also increases metabolism. You can do this only if a physician had checked your general health condition that you do not have adverse reactions to sudden change of temperatures.

5. Assuming that sauna or steam bath has therapeutic effects on you and others find dipping in extreme cold water gives similar results, the issue of metabolism works in either temperate zone.

6. Although not yet officially confirmed, conjugated linoleic acid (CLA) was observed in clinical trials to reduce fat and preserve muscle tissue. Therefore, it is being studied as effective in increasing metabolic rate for some people, especially meant for them who have thyroid problems.

7. Finally, the antioxidant green tea is being promoted as an alternative to coffee so that you can have better metabolism.
